This 50”s racing theme family restaurant has everything for a family. They offer one of the widest ranges of entertainment around from pinball machines, to game machines, a large secure playground with no less than 4- 5 childminders during peak time. The playground includes a jungle gym, race track , ride on machines that take R5 tokens, a TV viewing area and much more. There is a baby changing area and kiddy toilets. The eating area for kids even has lower tables and chairs so that the short legs don’t dangle awkwardly in the air. Started in 2014 and owned by Tracy and Gabi this party venue and family restaurant offers a variety of entertainment. They serve top quality food and host various activities throughout the year applicable to events on the calendar like Easter egg hunts and so much more. There is a little playgroup there in the mornings and the venue lends itself to private function hire. With a big jungle gym outside in semi shade and supervised by staff, adults can sit inside or outside and relax while sipping on delicious freeze or make use of the complimentary wifi. There is also a gift shop inside that sells a variety of items from the wooden Ghepetto range from Italy to seasonal items, you will be sure to find something for everyone. Anybody who loves the train theme should stop in here for a meal even if they don’t have children. This expansive space has been well utilised without being cluttered. The theme of a the railway station meets you at the door and is carried throughout with props set up everywhere. The children’s play area is a dream come true with various size jungle gyms outside that are semi covered, to an indoor area with ride on machines which includes a magical carousel, the bambinos pizza making area has chairs low enough for tiny legs to climb onto so that they can sit at the table and create their tasty pizzas. The play area has numerous childminders that will take care of the little ones. The bambinos menu is simple but has more than enough choices. Ideal for birthday parties there is an old fashioned red barber chair for the birthday child to sit on and be the king / queen of the party. There is unlimited wifi and the adult menu is delicious with generous portions.

*Antonnio’s Italian Kitchen – Lonehill

A gem in the middle of a busy city. The brains behind the brand is Mr Charl Potgieter, He started with Lets Meat Lonehill in 2012. This authentic Italian family restaurant is set on the banks of the Lonehill nature reserve, while eating outside you can enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The beautiful view coupled with with a great playground for kids with childminders is ideal for a family lunch. When you are finished eating you can access the nature reserve and go for a walk around the lake or venture a bit further up the Lonehill Koppie with its blue plaque status and once on top top soak in the views of the surrounding suburbs. It is so relaxing that you cant believe you are in a bustling shopping centre.
